On May 15th Participate in Berkeley's Ride to Work/School Event
Do you need a spring challenge? Why not join the crowd and ride to work and school on National Bike to Work Day on Thursday, May 15.
From 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on May 15, Energizer Stations will be set-up throughout the City of Berkeley to help adult bicycle commuters as well as youth riders. Nine schools from Berkeley and Oakland will participate with the help of Safe Routes to School and Cycles of Change (an East Bay organization devoted to improve the health and sustainability of our neighborhoods by increasing the use of bicycles as transportation).
Bike shops throughout the City are assisting schools to make the event a success. Missing Link will help Berkeley Arts Magnet by positioning its Energizer Station at the corners of the two bike boulevards at Virginia and Milvia streets.
If you need help mapping the best route for your commute, try Bikely.com.
For those riders passing downtown Berkeley, free helmets will be available at the City Hall Energizer Station.
Look for more news about this great event in the coming weeks.
